Iron Ridge District Building Description and Information

• We are essentially located on the south side of I-696 east of Woodward in the  Iron Ridge District Building Complex
• The I-696 service drive in this area is known as 10 mile Road.
• Gray 1 story building with the number address of 404 located in the middle
• We share the building with a company called “GoEngineer”  They have a green/white sign with their name on the building, you will see this sign first.  Our office is located at the other end of the same building.
• The building is located on East 10 Mile Road, behind a brick wall that separates us from 696 and the service drive. 
• To access our driveway you need to make a quick, HARD right turn when driving on Bermuda from the I-696 side  (see photo)
• (Please note that Bermuda is also known as Mohawk north of 696)  Thus the same road has 2 different names: Mohawk in Royal Oak and Bermuda in Pleasant Ridge)

• Other Landmarks:
  • Our office is located at the Dead End
  • Our office is located directly under a giant yellow/black  billboard advertising “Butter”  (see photos)

Directions from the East Side Via 696

• Take 696 West toward Lansing
• Pass I-75
• As you are on the overpass above I-75, get into right lane as you will be exiting shortly
• Your first exit after I-75 is Exit 17 – Bermuda
• Exit on Bermuda 
• Take the service drive to Bermuda and take a left on Bermuda. Make sure you turn at the light, not at the turnaround, which is before the traffic light.
• Drive south on Bermuda, (Bermuda is an overpass, you will be driving above I 696). 
• While on the overpass, you will see the GoEngineer sign on a gray building on your right.  We are located in the same building at the other end.
• You will arrive at a traffic light, pass through the traffic light and take an immediate right.  (see photo)
• Now the GoEngineer building will be on your left and a brick wall on your right, drive toward the Dead End.  Our office is located at the Dead End. (see photo)

Alternate Directions from the East Side

• Take any mile road, 11 Mile Road or higher 
• Drive west until you come to either Rochester or Stephenson Highway
• On Rochester or Stephenson Hwy make a left (so you are heading south) and keep driving
• Rochester turns into Stephenson Hwy (at I-75) and Stephenson Hwy turns into the westbound service drive for I 696, which is also known as 10 mile Road.
• After Stephens turns into the westbound 696 service, drive until you reach the Bermuda Road Intersection and take a left.  Make sure you turn at the light, not at the turnaround, which is before the traffic light.
• (Please note that Bermuda is also known as Mohawk north of 696)  Thus the same road has 2 different names: Mohawk in Royal Oak and Bermuda in Pleasant Ridge)
• Drive south on Bermuda, (Bermuda is an overpass, you will be driving above I 696).

From The South (via Woodward)

• Take Woodward north starting at 6 Mile (McNichols), 7 mile, 8 mile or 9 mile Road
• Exit Woodward as if you were trying to get on to 696 eastbound.
• Take a right on the service drive
• Do not take the onramp to the freeway, but stay on the 696 service drive (AKA 10 mile Road) and keep to the right.
• Drive until you encounter the next traffic light, which is Bermuda Road
• PLEASE NOTE that there is NO STREET SIGN FOR BERMUDA
• Turn right onto Bermuda and then take another IMMEDIATE right onto our driveway.  (This is a HAIRPIN turn) (see photos illustrating the turn)
• The GoEngineer building will be on your left and a brick wall on your right, drive toward the Dead End.  Our office is located at the Dead End. (see photos above)  We share the building with GoEngineering.

From The South (via I 75)

• Take I-75 north and exit onto I 696 West towards Lansing
• Stay in the right lane of 696 as you will be exiting the freeway quickly after merging onto 696
• Your first exit after I-75 is Exit 17 – Bermuda
• Exit on Bermuda 
• Take the service drive to Bermuda and take a left on Bermuda. Make sure you turn at the light, not at the turnaround, which is before the traffic light.
• Drive south on Bermuda, (Bermuda is an overpass, you will be driving above I 696).

From The West Side

• Take I-696 east, towards Port Huron
• Exit onto the Woodward Ave and stay on the service drive driving east (note the service drive is 10 Mile Road)
• Pass through the Woodward intersection and you will reach the next set of lights which are for Main Street that feeds into Royal Oak.
• Pass through the Main Street intersection, staying on the right side of the service drive.
• Do not take the onramp to the freeway, but stay on the 696 service drive (AKA 10 mile Road) and keep to the right.
• Drive until you encounter the next traffic light, which is Bermuda Road
• PLEASE NOTE that there is NO STREET SIGN FOR BERMUDA

From The North Side Via I-75

• Take I-75 south and to I 696 west
• As you merge, stay in the right lane of I 696 as you will be exiting on to Bermuda Road  (exit 17)
• Exit on Bermuda  (if you arrive at Woodward, you have gone too far)
• Take the service drive to Bermuda and take a left on Bermuda. Make sure you turn at the light, not at the turnaround, which is before the traffic light.
• Drive south on Bermuda, (Bermuda is an overpass, you will be driving above I 696). 
• While on the overpass, you will see the GoEngineer sign on a gray building on your right.  We are located in the same building at the other end.
• You will arrive at a traffic light, pass through the traffic light and take an immediate right.  (see photo)
• Now the GoEngineer building will be on your left and a brick wall on your right, drive toward the Dead End.  Our office is located at the Dead End. (see photo)

From the North Via Woodward (starting North of 10 Mile or higher)

• Take Woodward South
• When you get to 696, follow the directions for I 696 East towards Port Huron or towards I-75
• You will pass under the Detroit Zoo Parking lot and make your way across the intersection and make a left turn onto the I-696 service drive and get in the second lane from the right.  Take this lane and continue on the service drive to the first traffic light past Woodward and make a right turn and then another HARD RIGHT turn immediately.  Then follow the driveway all the way down to the dead end and we are on the left.
