Find out why The Glaucoma Specialists have become the premier facility in the midwest for the treatment of glaucoma and cataracts.
Because of a sole focus on glaucoma and cataracts over the past 20 years, our center has acquired expertise in managing complicated cataract surgery in addition to routine cataract cases. Your evaluation will include a complete medical history, an assessment of your visual symptoms, ocular biometry for implant determination, and complete ocular evaluation.
Our physicians have extensive expertise in cataract surgery and are equipped with the latest surgical instruments and medical technology. They utilize the latest techniques, including small incision cataract surgery, bladeless laser cataract surgery, sutureless wounds, topical anesthesia, and foldable implants. Our surgeons are also proud to offer the CATALYS Precision Laser System, which is the only laser system designed specifically for the treatment of cataracts, at our Lakeshore Surgery Center location in St. Clair Shores. We can also correct astigmatism using the catalyst laser.
In addition to standard intraocular lens, we also offer the latest premium implants, including multifocal implants which function like bifocals, and toric implants which correct astigmatism. Please ask if you would be a candidate for one of these implants.
Surgery can be scheduled at outstanding ambulatory surgery centers including Lakeshore Surgery Center, William Beaumont Hospital (Royal Oak), St Johns Hospital (St. Clair Shores), Truvista Surgery Center (Troy), and William Beaumont Surgery Center (West Bloomfield).
